The ‘Iron Hawk’ project began with the challenge of a relatively compact site. Situated to capture views of the slopes at Beaver Creek as well as the golf course to the west, this home truly makes the most of its mountain surroundings.
Stepped gable elements and out reaching dormers promote a sense of building terracing with natural slope and are arranged to reduce the overall proportion and mass of a home encompassing nearly 7,000 square feet of living space.
Designed in mountain retreat vernacular, the home includes such spaces as a generous great room complete with timber trussed vaulting, main level master and guest suites, three upper (and one lower) private bedrooms, a commercial grade kitchen and a large recreation room on the lower, informal level.
Iron Hawk also boasts all the amenities common to luxurious living within the Vail valley. These items include a temperature controlled wine cave, home theater room, full wet bar, an elevator to service each level and of course a private outdoor hot tub to complete the alpine entertainment package.
